Hello, I’m Scott Jenkins. Welcome to my blog. This is where I share my thoughts and stories on my career, personal growth and more.

After growing up in the Somerset Countryside in the South West of the UK, I studied Mathematics at the University of Warwick and graduated with a BSc in 2018. Now I’m living in Leicestershire and am working for UK-leading homeware retailer Dunelm.

In my second year of the Dunelm leadership graduate scheme; I spend my time learning to apply statistics and machine learning algorithms in Python to a variety of business problems. Currently on rotation in the newly formed Insight & Analytics team; I aim to develop my skills in this area in the next couple of years through coding on the job, reading at home, and completing an 18 month Data Apprenticeship with Decoded.

Before this, I worked within the PPC and SEO teams, and on the shop floor. I get a lot of energy sharing my knowledge with colleagues in other areas of the business and use my SEO foundations to track and improve the ranking of my own site.

Outside of work, I’m an enthusiastic juggler, currently learning a collection of 5 ball tricks. I’ve made many great friends through juggling over the last 3 years and watched some incredible talents. An intersection of creativity, commitment and physicality, I’m grateful for my involvement so far.
